Exhibition Overview

Carolina’s Got Art! was founded in 2009 to support Carolina artists and our mission remains unchanged.  We offer artists an opportunity to grow their brand and sell their work, and this drives us from year to year.  Beginning in 2009, we had such great submissions that we expanded the juried show to include a second, month-long show, the Salon show.  New in 2015, we have added a juried ceramics component to celebrate our states’ ceramics heritage.

Carolina’s Got Art! Juried Show

Held at Elder Gallery during the month of May 2015, a noteworthy juror will select his/her favorite pieces from among the submissions entered (2D and 3D work, excluding ceramic pieces, which will be jurored for the June Ceramics show).  These pieces will be displayed as the “best of the best of Carolina artwork.”  As has become a CGA! tradition, our juror will be on hand throughout the opening night to meet artists and the community as well as host a Juror’s discussion the following morning in the gallery.  Awards will be presented during the opening night.

Dates: May 1-May 30
Grand Opening: May 1 (6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)
Juror’s Discussion: May 2 (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

The CGA! Ceramic Show & Salon Ceramics

This second juried exhibition will immediately follow the CGA! Juried Show and be held throughout the month of June 2015.  Pieces will also be exhibited at Elder Gallery.  New in 2015, a ceramics exhibition chosen by world-renowned ceramicist, Peter Callas, will be showcased.  Peter will also offer his own Juror’s discussion the morning of June 6.  In addition to the ceramics exhibition, Larry Elder, the gallery owner and founder of CGA!, will choose an additional show of outstanding Carolina’s artwork.

June Salon Dates: June 5-27
Grand Opening: June 5 (5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
Juror’s Discussion: June 6 (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
